It's no wonder I just can't seem to get enough of you guys. Everytime I see you, your songs always have a new twist. Like at the RRBP Saturday night, when you played Joker.
Everytime I bring a new friend along to hear you they are always amazed and love hearing "new music"
People always ask me how come you don't just have one style? I've even heard people say, "I'm so glad I finally found a style I'm comfortable with" how boring and shallow life would be if we were all the same.
Maybe that's why I never liked Ken and Barbie? And ooo, that botox look, no facial expressions? I just don't get it. That's one of my favorite things, is to watch peoples expressions. It's probably why I also love children so much, they have that quality of pleasurable amazement with new things. Be adventurous, try new things and be alive.
forever curious,

i often wonder if music is not a better metaphor for spirituality than thoughts

this particularly moves me in the way in which you write about music as communal experience, played & heard -= interacting, not clean or even always pleasing

what if we moved away from top 40, from the dulling numbing drone of repetition synthesized sentiment

Trent, I am totally blown away by this post. Man, that club sounds like so many of the churches I have visited and taught at over the past year. I just had a conversation with a guy about questioning what we have always known, and questioning what we read in scriptures, and at first he asked me what I was trying to prove. I told him nothing, but that I was trying to get to know the God that I proclaim to know. I am tired of Sunday School answers, that are good for just that, Sunday School. We need to put some meaning behing those things, and that only comes about by questioning and trying things that never have been attempted before.

Right on man, this was refreshing once again. Keep up the good work, because you are making a difference.
